Stoneware vasesculpture, carved and decorated with slips, oxides and glazes, sometimes applied in overlapping layers.
On the front surface runs a handincised inscription made with a ceramic underglaze pencil.
The back shows a painterly field created with mixed and layered glazes and oxides.
The base is triangular, with one side much longer than the others.
The two side brackets give the piece a sense of structural support, making it look like a small urban, almost postindustrial relic.
Concept:
“JE NE T’AIME +” was born as an ironic reaction to the endless “JE T’AIME” T-shirts: an antidote to sentimental clichés and the overload of postcard-style love phrases.
The “+” is an invitation not to turn every breakup into a battlefield, to keep at least part of what was there, instead of destroying everything.
